I don't know who was more excited for William's party... ME or him. I love Birthdays and I had a blast planning Will's. I chose the theme after the poem, "What are little boy's made of?" and therefore everything was frog, snail and puppy dog tail-ified.
We were fortunate enough to have both sets of grandparents here for the party, as well as a small group of close friends. Pretty sure our tiny apartment was breaking the fire code but we had fun. William was just basking in all the love and attention all weekend.
William is pretty reserved when it comes to untrusted solid food. I didn't know how he would do with cake, or if he would even touch it. I made it sugar free just incase...
He was a little unsure at first.
Then played with the decoration
He warmed up pretty quickly
Cake = success!
Once we were all cleaned up from the cake it was time to open some presents.
For this we recruited an older and more experienced helper. After all, what are girlfriends for besides taking all your stuff?
It was very important to Matt to purchase a basketball for William
Judging from William's smile it was important to him too.
Man, candid photos are so attractive on me....

It really was a blast. Thanks to all who came and celebrated with us.
It turned out SO cute. I love it. So sad we weren't able to make it! We miss having you as neighbors!
