High Maintenance

We have moved our family, AGAIN! Bye bye hotel and housekeeping and hello suburbia.

I am really missing the downtown living and zero commute for Matt that Salt Lake provided but Suburbia has it's perks too. Like neighbors inviting us over for dinner and that sort of thing.

Have any of you watched the movie "When Harry Met Sally"? It is one of my mothers favorite movies and therefore holds a sense of nostalgia, but I promise it's awesome.  Moving into this home has made me realize something about myself even more.

Harry  "There are two types of women- high maintenance and low maintenance."

Sally    "Which one am I?"

Harry   "You're the worst kind. You're high maintenance but you think you're low maintenance"

So we are only living in this house for a few months and it really is nice BUT I would NEVER buy it. Probably my least favorite part about this house..... actually it's an even tie between the plumbing and the air cooling system. This house has the weirdest water faucets I have ever seen. Our first night here I almost cried when I couldn't turn off the shower. I had visions of the shower running all day until Matt came home to fix it. Or calling up the landlord and looking like The. Biggest. Idiot. Ever. I have figured them out now but I still think the person who designed them should be charged with some sort of crime.

My body knows two temperatures, too hot and too cold. This house does both but it takes way too long to reach my preferred room temperature (too cold) in the summer. It also makes strange noises to the point where I'm almost convinced there is a small to middle sized animal living in our cooling vents.

Almost.

My favorite part of this house is the back yard. It is a lovely space with mature trees, ample space to suntan, a small basketball court, trampoline and kids swings. I LOVE this back yard and so does William.
